Montana Black Currant (Bundle of 3)
Montana Black Currant (Bundle of 3)
With large, sweet black fruits, this unnamed variety makes excellent jam and is high in antioxidants and total phenolics—making it a healthy addition to the garden.
Fresh Eating & Origin
The fresh eating quality of these is still unknown, as they’re from seed. But for jam? They're a must in the Montana garden.
Unmatched Cold Tolerance
We’ve never seen the slightest sign of winter damage, even during those wild fall frosts (-10°F to -20°F in October) that few other places in the country experience. Honestly, those early freezes might even be more intense than a -40°F deep freeze in January—because the plants often haven’t hardened off yet.
Hardy to Zone 2 (-40°F or colder).
These shrubs are 2–3 feet tall and come with nice, healthy root systems.
Black currants are prohibited in DE, ME, NC, NJ, WV, VA, MA, NH, and RI
