Growth & Appearance

Mature red currant shrubs in our climate reach about 5–6 feet tall at most. They’re an ornamental shrub that produces tasty fruit—or an edible shrub that’s also ornamental. Basically, an edimental.

Cold Hardy to Zone 2

Suitable down to Zone 2 (-40°F or colder), these shrubs will thrive in all parts of Montana and other extreme cold climates. These shrubs are currently 2–3 feet tall.
