Mulberry Trees
We currently offer one mulberry tree variety, the Trader Mulberry, proven to thrive in much of Montana’s cold climate. Selected by Dr. Jim Walla of North Dakota, this exceptionally hardy tree has survived temperatures below -40°F, making it one of the most reliable mulberries for northern growers.
While Illinois Everbearing has done well in a few protected microclimates around Missoula, it isn’t hardy enough for most regions of Montana. That’s why we exclusively offer the Trader Mulberry—the most reliable cold climate Mulberry we have found.
