Fire Blight Resistant Apple & Crabapple Trees
Apples, crabapples and applecrabs that resist fire blight. Some apples get hit almost as hard as pears, especially the soft, vigorous ones, and these hold up a lot better.
More about fire blight resistant apples
The crabs and applecrabs here are as tough as it gets. Trailman applecrab is hardy to zone 1, Dolgo crabapple to zone 1b, and Chestnut and Centennial applecrabs to zone 2. Dolgo doubles as our strongest apple pollenizer.
For full size apples, Liberty and William's Pride resist fire blight, scab, cedar-apple rust and powdery mildew. Black Oxford and Roxbury Russet are great keepers, Belle de Boskoop is a top cooking apple, and Blue Pearmain and Kandil Sinap round it out. The apple disease resistance chart has each one's full ratings.
