Where are you located? Can I come pick out my trees?

Hello! We have some nursery space and our cold storage facility in Missoula, MT along with one of our other grow locations in Florence, MT. As far as coming to pick out the trees, we are not set up that way (parking/facilities), and instead operate entirely through our online store. We do, however, have a pickup option for those who want to come pick up their order in person. Orders are placed online and either shipped or picked up, both happening in the Spring.

How will I receive my trees? Potted? Bare root?

Our trees are bare root exclusively. We do wrap the roots in moist sawdust with a vapor barrier.

What is your warranty?

We guarantee that our plants will bud out. If in the event that the tree does not bud out, some plants are very slow to break dormancy when being transplanted. All of the stone fruits (peaches, nectarines, apricots, and plums) can sometimes delay breaking dormancy until mid-summer. Scrape the bark with a fingernail or knife down low on the trunk to determine if a tree is still alive. If you see some green tissue under the bark, be patient because the tree is still alive. Get ahold of no earlier than August 15th if the tree has not budded out. We will send you a form that you can fill out so that we get you store credit for the following Spring.

What does the credit actually cover?

What you paid for the plant, plus the proportional share of the shipping you paid on it. If only part of a bundle failed, the credit is for that share of the bundle. We issue store credit rather than refunding the card, and the credit is good on anything in the nursery, not just a replacement of what you lost. Credit codes are good for one use and they don't expire, so put everything you want on a single order rather than splitting it up.

What if a plant dies after its first year?

Strictly speaking that is outside the warranty, since what we guarantee is that the plant buds out. Write to us anyway. If it's a single plant, we can usually work something out as long as you're able to meet our $200 order minimum on your next order. That's easier than it sounds. Everything on the store counts toward it, not just trees. Berry bundles, currants and gooseberries, honeyberries, raspberries and strawberries, grapes, all the smaller stuff. A lot of folks also go in on an order with a friend, a neighbor or family and split it when it shows up.
