Hazelnut Trees
American hazelnut and Cortland hybrid hazelnut seedlings. American hazelnut is hardy to zone 3 and resists eastern filbert blight, and the Cortland hybrids are hardy to zone 3b. Hazelnuts can't pollenize themselves, so plant at least two seedlings. They grow as big shrubs and make a great hedgerow that feeds you and the wildlife.
