The best performing horseradish we have grown in Montana. Not much to say on flavor because most horseradish we have tried tastes the same. But we're no horseradish connoisseurs here. In terms of hardiness, this will survive down to at least -50F.
Harvesting Horseradish
Harvest can begin the following year once enough root energy has been stored. The saying growing up for us was that you can harvest Horseradish roots in any month ending in "r". However, the colder one is, the harder it may be to harvest the roots once the frost layer is deep, so it is best to harvest the roots in September or October if you are zone 5 or colder.
